A real hop drenching with even more Citra and Amarillo in the form of cryo hops on top of the already huge dose.

Active pour only yields a meager coating of light tan foam, not much retention, lacing has good thickness. Standard apricot puree appearing liquid. Strong element of cigarette ash, marijuana to the nose, coal tar, pulped white grapefruit, the underlying leafiness gets buried some, the peach, pineapple, nectarine fruit scents adequate. Full-bodied, thankfully not so thick that you can’t sense any movement. Features the dankness here as well, albeit the sweetness of the peach, apricot, mango, melon fruit evident from the first sip. Tangerine beats the white grapefruit to the punch. The tarriness limited by the sweetness. Carbonation gives you one big fluff in the mouth, no prickle. On the back half there’s notes of cracker and bread crusts. Preferred it well chilled to warming. Lots of residue at the end, both textural and dank flavor. (Canned 9/2/20)

Picked this up last week at Other Half as part of my monthly beer run. Hop Showers was the first brew that I ever had from them and the Hop Deluge was also quite enjoyable, so I wanted to get my hands on this! While it's not an improvement over those, this was incredibly smooth and easy to drink, as has been the case with so many of their other brews over the years!
This had a nice, deep apricot hue to it with a good amount of light coming through the edges. Plenty of spongy head topped this off as the lacing left behind was thick, soapy, and beautifully layered. Lots of peach, apricot, and assorted stone fruit in the muted nose along with a nectar sweetness that tied everything in together. The earthiness of the Amarillo emerged in the taste, especially as this warmed up with citrus rind and a bit of exotic, tropical fruit entering the fray. Not a lot of carbonation in this and the malt was basic bread as it allowed this beer to be relatively filling for it's type.
Yeah, there's enough booze in here but as is the case with so many beers of this type, it wasn't easy to detect it here. Lots of nectar and sugary stone fruit in the aftertaste with hints of earthy hop dankness made this pleasing, but not as strong as it could have been. Canned on 9/2, this felt as fresh as could be from start to finish. Once again, Other Half nails it with the DDH treatment as this beer was sure to please...
