Picked this up last week at Other Half, as I missed the original Lab Daydream when it came out nearly two years ago. That had a high rating and this deserves to as well since it was incredibly smooth, wonderfully flavorful, and oh-so-easy to drink. Given who had a hand in making, this that shouldn't come as much of a surprise!

This had a nice appearance to it as it had a cloudy, uniformly bright apricot hue with plenty of bubbly head topping this off as the top of that was quite uneven at the top of my pint glass. Lots of spotty lacing could be found along the top of half, as it rained down from a thick ring and never quite let up as I worked my way through this. Lots of earthy citrus, dank hops, booze, oats, and turbid mango as the taste burst forth with lots of fruit, underlying sweetness, and a lovely slickness. Some melon and outdoorsy woodsiness entered the fray as this fully warmed up with hints of Idaho 7, even though that was *not* one of the hops in this beer. The oats gave this a nice fullness as there was just enough carbonation to keep this light until the last sip.

Yeah, this was strong and although I warmed up throughout my session, the alcohol was understated and took a back seat to everything else that was going on. Canned on the 16th of this month, this was completely fresh without any sediment in it with lots of dry lime and sharp grapefruit in the aftertaste. Really impressed with this and although this was a full-bodied and full-flavored beer, it would be easily accessible for someone having an Imperial IPA for the first time. Once again, these two have nailed it with this collaboration!
