Picked this up last week at Other Half, along with a lot of other brews as they had quite a few drops between the collaborations such as this and the beers that they brought up from our nation's capital. Like much of what I bought, this was a wonderful beer that proves that even in this topsy-turvy year, that these guys still have it going on and continue to impress me with that quality of their output!

This had a hazy, macaroni hue to it as it was bright, even in appearance, and topped off with a lively head that was bubbly at the top as it unevenly poked above the top of my pint glass. The lacing was appealing, but uneven, as a thick and rocky head went nearly all the way around the top of my pint glass with thick hints of a ring around the edges below that. Only the middle was sparse but there were spots randomly scattered the rest of the way down. Lots of citrus pith, dank melon, and fruit cocktail in the nose as the taste burst forth with loads of dank Galaxy, earthy Citra, deep floral notes, and loads of underlying booze that all meshed together nicely. Slick, smooth, and a bit exotic in the back, this warmed me up nicely and had plenty of chewy dough to balance out the hops and give this a nice, full body.

There was enough booze to this but it was hard to detect on the palate, which was a great aspect of this beer. There was a bit of sweetness too that smoothed out any rough edges that this might have had, although this was not full of lactose or cream. Can't say that I've ever had a beer with Breta but the array of hops was lovely here as this easily went down. Glad to get my hands on this one!
