Double Sunset Brandywine Coffee Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stoutā
This edition of Double Sunsets features our bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout with Brandywine Colombia Santa Barbara Estate Coffee, vanilla and milk Sugar. This coffee, picked with our friends at Delaware's Brandywine Coffee Roasters, has a lot of balance with a nice mouthfeel and soft chocolate and fruit notes.

Appearance: Pours the color of espresso with and a crema cap that fades to a ringlet and a swirl; leggy and spotty
Smell: Rich sweetened chocolate with vanilla and milk sugar tones; the Bourbon complements
Taste: Chocolate candy forward with the vanilla and milk sugar building the sweetness; the espresso is bold here and dominates the middle, bringing some fruit into the fray; Bourbon complements but doesn't dominate the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and luscious, with low to moderate carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: These Double Sunsets are just too sweet for my palate; I appreciate the craft but it is not what I enjoy

Bottle pour at Other Half Finger Lakes in Bloomfield, NY.
This one smells like vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate fudge, spice, coffee creamer, and oak barrel.
This was excellent, and honestly better than any of the recent BA Snowbirds. There's a rich and velvety caramel and vanilla character here. It doesn't taste as much purely like coffee as it does like caramel and spice and oak, and that's honestly fine here, as the coffee is clearly super evocative and throwing off interesting and unique flavors.
This is thick, creamy, and rich, with no real booziness at all.
This is really wonderful. This whole series tends to be some of the more underrated stouts in the Other Half catalogue.
