Pale hazy yellow with a fizzy white head, low retention, minimal to no lacing. Nose is juicy citrus and pine. Palate is less juicy, pine, grapefruit, faint lemon. Moderate body, moderate crisp slight fizzy mouthfeel. Really liked this overall.

It's a nice pour that emptied a pint can's contents into a clear glass liter mug. The just-off-white head was modest and short-lived. The brew has the modern American IPA look that approaches murky. This has an apricot-amber color with a yellow tint. It smells mildly of hops and starches, with a little citrusy aspect to it. It's moderately sharp from the onset, then through the finish. It never gets astringent, nor even overly bitter. But it's full of hoppy taste, with touches of citrus-like and mildly earthy characters in good balance. The taste of the 7.5% ABV is nicely incorporated into the overall flavor. The mouthfeel is fine, maybe a little oaty (sticky) during the finish. There was almost no glass lacing, as oats usually don't provide much of that. Overall, this is a very drinkable NEIPA that's not too soft, not too sharp and pleasant across the tongue. The way the hop bite accumulates, sort of like the heat in hot peppers, is remarkable. No fish were harmed in making this beer. If anchovy hops can contribute to bringing this much flavor, without adding too much bitterness, they may be a nice addition to this style of beer.
