This is a Freaky Friday with our friends at The Veil that was perhaps our greatest unreleased/released beer. Originally brewed at The Veil and hopped with an aggressive amount of Simcoe, Mosaic and Citra.

Miss the line share?
I do.
The anniversary releases used to be insane but in this post-Covid world, nothing's what it used to be with the only upside is that I didn't have to wait for hours on a frozen Brooklyn street before getting my hands on any of these spectacular brews.
Thankfully, this was worth seeking out as it was what I came to expect from Other Half and Veil - golden, hazy, and fully plush from start to finish. Lots of Broccoli, soft tangerine, easygoing hops, and a hint of wheat in the nose as the taste was just as enjoyable. A lovely head and well-defined sheet of lacing only added to this beer's appeal as there was a nice hint of lactose and sweetness to go along with a dank back and an aftertaste of left coast hops and stone fruit.
Full in body, just a tad sticky and cloying, and just a tad dank, this was good enough to remind me of why I fell in love with these guys ages ago. Dated 1/15 of this year on the bottom of the can and brewed in D.C., there wasn't any sediment to be seen as this aged quite nicely in my basement this year. Even after all of this time, these guys are still killing it and anyone who loved any Broccoli offering in their lineup would be wise to get a can or two of this!
