This was another beer that I picked up earlier this year, as part of Other Half's 10th Anniversary celebration. This wasn't as good as the one brewed in Brooklyn but with that being said, this was a solid beer that had more than enough going for it from the get-go!
The pour to this was what I expected from this beer, as it was goldenrod in hue, plenty cloudy, and topped of with a moderate amount of head. Scattered, spotty suds were left behind once I sipped this as there weren't any visible rings of lacing visible on the side of my pint glass. Lots of celery, vegetable patch, stone fruit, and a ton of dank celery were in the nose as the taste was just as turbid as that nose indicated, to go along with a moderate presence of booze. Hawaiian Punch, earthy hops, and mild stone fruit rounded out the taste as this was plenty dank, exotic, and inviting.
At least the mouthfeel was somewhat inviting, given how varied and somewhat potent the taste was. Dated 2/6 on the bottom of the can and brewed in D.C., this held up well as there wasn’t any sediment to be seen here. While not as good as the other anniversary offerings that I had, there was enough to like here once it fully warmed up and all the nuances emerged!

Glowing shade of pale gold, thick and consistent.
Smells a tad sour, citrusy, sharp.
Taste is lemony, the cryo sharpness is forward, tastes strongly of grapefruit or even more sour
Finishes very cleanly, medium body, creamy.

Canned on 2/2/24; consumed on 2/21/24
Pours an opaque, dingy gold body topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; good head retention leaves a spotty, paper-thin cap, larger, frothy collar, and myriad caking of chunky, soapy lacing encircling the walls of the glass.
Aromas of airy lime open into mango zest contrasts, with a grassy, dank build developing soft, peach undertones over time.
Taste brings lime peel upfront and a sweeter orange sorbet backing, with mango and papaya over the mid-palate contrasting a grassy, dank close; lime zest and guava linger past the swallow.
Mouthfeel features a medium body and a subtle fluff of moderate carbonation, yielding slick, glossy resins over the mid-palate as a subtle hint of creaminess grazes the back end and a gentle juiciness touches the finish.
Zesty and bright with a steady sweetness interspersed; a quintessentially approachable NEIPA profile.
