We added Superdelic hops to our usual dose of NZ Cascade in Magic Green Nuggets to give it an even bigger boost of rich sweet citrus fruit. A special drop for NZ Hop Week.

Dated 12/15/25, into a Xul becher pint.
Pours a murky light orange with huge fluffy foam. Aroma is sharp pineapple, pine, pithy dankness, and a heavy bitterness. Flavor is big overripe pineapple and mango with a decidedly green finish. There's a very green dank note on the back end and a sort of sharp resin-ish bitterness as well. I get some sweet malts and a little cream, but it's a little more spicy than the description leads one to believe. With how Cascade classically leans, this one feels very true to form, it just feels strange tasting it in such a classically hazy fashion. The dryness does give way to quite appealing pineapple and mango though, and as this one warms it gets to be a very delicious fruit salad. It finishes a little sticky and a little sweet which I really enjoy. Feel is good, nice and thick, with a medium/low body and a long lingering flavor. Fantastically drinkable and not refreshing, but more comforting with the lean towards sweetness, higher density, and no ethanol.
Overall, a lovely beer for a very cold winter day. It feels more winter-y than some Christmas ales, and the stickiness and slight warming made it a good treat. Other Half with another winner.

(27 days old) Standard haze. Big fresh tropical and citrus aroma. Superdelic hops contribute a candied citrus flavor, backed by tropical and stone fruit notes with some thiol intensity. Distinctive and pleasing flavor profile.

Juicy look and some hop aroma. Lace dots. Lots of sugary support to carry this enhancer through.
