Albany has it going on especially when it comes to delicious IPA and egg shaped brutalist architecture. We decided to celebrate all things Albany with our Albany area pals at Fidens Brewing. We are not messing around with this one either. Layered with all selected hops; Citra, Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin plus some Nectaron and Citra cryo's and Nelson Hop Kief and Citra Hyperboost for an IPA worth of the Capital region.

Canned on 6/30/2025 so just under 2 weeks old when reviewed. Poured into a snulip glass. It is opaque and pastel orange-yellow in color with a finger cap of creamy, milk-white foam and thick, swirling lacing. Lovely pour! The fragrant nose includes lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, white wine, and some tropical scents. It opens with tart citrus, including grapefruit, lemon, and lime. I can taste the Nelson hops but they are mild. The tropical fruit notes appear as the ale warms a little but they remain in the background. There is mild bitterness throughout. I would say that All-bany Everything leads with the various types of Citra hops and the Nectaron and Nelson add nice depth of flavor without dominating. The mouth feel is moderately thick and creamy with appropriate carbonation, and like many Other Half DIPAs the ABV (in this case 8.5%) is well-hidden. Overall, this is a very tasty and enjoyable southern hemisphere IPA from two of the best brewers on the east coast.

A - Opaque cream-colored lacing and little to no carbonation.
S - Dank, juicy tropical fruit with peppery spicy fruit rind.
T - Follows the nose with lots of dankness, tropical fruit, pineapple, peppery rind, and ends on the sweeter side with some light bitterness on the backside.
M - Slick and viscous with semi-dry finish.
O - Highly recommended.
