From Beer Drop. Alani is a very nice beer for lunch. Light, low ABV and it soothed the mouth from leftover Indian food. Scrubbed the palate also. Looks a pretty rose' in my BA Respect Beer glass. Not sour as advertised, not even as tart as I expected. Pleasant. I saved some for a pizza tonight and I still have the second can from Beer Drop.
At dinner, I noticed this is a re-release that has the previous grape, but also apple, cranberry and hibiscus; making it suitable for brunch as well. I like the "wine-inspired" it advertises on the can in that hybrids expand craft brewers' market.
Now ten years old, Reformation is as much out front about its values as only two other micros I can think of: community and self-development. For that, I give them some special Overall Hugs because we can use more of that right now.

Appearance: Slightly hazy cranberry red. Thin white head with short retention.
Aroma: Fruity and tart
Flavor: Fruit, grape, cranberry. Tart. No bitterness
Mouthfeel: Light bodied. Semi-dry. Moderate carbonation. Short, crisp finish.
Overall: Interesting change of pace. Fruity and slightly tart. Very light on the palate and virtually no bitterness. Could be described as sparkly. No really my cup of tea but some people really like this style.
