Thanks to snaotheus for this one!
Can stamped FH CITRA SAUVE & SON 09/26/24
Beautiful pour. Nearly clear golden liquid with a fluffy white cap. Decent retention with random clumps of lacing and a solid ring.
Nose is citrus and melon on the front with hints of light, sweet grain.
Flavor is slightly dry in its bitterness with hints of peach, orange rind, and the most subtle pine.
Mouthfeel is just shy of medium heft, with a dry finish.

The can is stamped "CITRA" and 09/26/23. Handsome golden amber grew with plenty of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Highly fragrant with citrus and melon. Crisp and sudsy with mouth-filling carbonation. Malty with just a little sweetness to set off the fruit. Flavor is ripe casaba melon with a lime peel finish. What's not to like about that?
Quite moderate bitter aftertaste just to complete the hop experience. Tangy and smooth with the nicest hop flavors. This is the third excellent fresh hop IPA I've had in a week. From the 16 oz can purchased at Town & Country market in Shoreline.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Can't read the date very clearly, but I think it's 9/29/22.
Pours clear honey gold with a big creamy head that settles into thick skin with a very thick ring and a few clumps spattered across the surface. Not a lot of active carbonation, but some. Smell is citrus and hop resin, a little floral sweetness.
Taste is lots of citrus in a pithy / zesty / bitter kind of way.
Mouthfeel is light, dry, clean. Overall, really nice.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus hops, orange, grapefruit and a touch of light stone fruit. Flavor is pale and caramel malt, citrus hops, lemon, orange, grapefruit and light mixed stone fruit and a little pine in the finish. Stoup's Hop Fiends are among the better fresh hops each year and this one is a winner. Last year I started thinking that Citra, while a great combination hop, was too one-note for single hop ales, but this year, this is the second one that has really hit the spot. Well done. As is typical this time of year, this current fresh hop is my favorite so far.
