Bottle from the Beacon Market.
This was definitely an interesting brew. Smoked leaves and honeycomb yeast make for some pretty unique ingredients. Cloudy amber-orange in color, with a thin white head that held at a ringlet. Aroma was an autumn campfire. Light smokiness in the taste, followed by a definite honey sweetness, leafy, earthy. Autumnal goodness. Body was about medium, carbonation on the lower side, making for a somewhat slick mouthfeel.
Personally, I just felt that a little of this beer went a long way, and about halfway through the glass, I found I was ready to move on. But this is my general feeling towards most smoke beers unfortunately... I like them well enough in small doses, but overall they're just not my style. All things considered, this was a well-made brew, and worth checking out. Points for originality.
