Peach, pear, apple. A bit yeasty, and foamy mouthfeel, as though bottle conditioned. Moderate tartness with some earthy lingering spice. Overall, pleasant.

this is distinct from the first batch of this, which i have yet to try, this time done with apricots and cherries instead of plums and peaches (which also sounds incredible). thanks again to my brother for sharing this, and others from plan bee, i loved them all. this one is a little more acetic and sour than the others this time around, but there remains some sweetness from the fruit to balance, lighter on the grain too, so the fruit and the fermentation profile really pop. pinkish orange hued brew, somewhat delicate looking, with a lazy white head clinging to the hop, very airy and sparse. aroma and flavor of tart cherry, ripe peach and apricot, and very vinous too me, like rose wine, floral and bright and summery, sexy even, not too sharp, and with some nice funk there as well. i love the depth of flavor, a little flash of apricot flesh here, a bit of tannic white wine there, apple and kiwi notes too, even strawberry, the cherries seem moderately tart and almost with a hibiscus tone to them, really different with everything else going on. this also seems somewhat less mature to me than many of the others, a younger beer to showcase the ripe fruit differently perhaps, i really like it, and i dont wish it were different. its a fun and different combination of fruits, which appears to be the purpose of this series, which i hope they keep rolling out. this is real minimal in body, dry for how fruity it is, and delicate overall, with enough carbonation to keep it gliding across the palate. special beer, righteous packaging, these guys rule!

edit: i was apparently reviewing batch 002 above, but just got into batch 003, which is neither apricots nor cherries but plums. its amazing, an entire league superior to batch 002 to me, and it goes well beyond just the different fruit. its the refinement of the beer overall, the high funk and low acid, all the oak, the maturity, this is just splendid wild beer on its own, and the plums set it off. subtle notes of iodine, wildflowers, rose wine, and even blackberry, its just tremendous. effervescent, bone dry, fully lively and bottle conditioned feeling in texture to me. these guys should be blowing up, this is as good as anything out there right now. raising a few scores to reflect how epic batch 003 is, thanks to my brother for sending!

From a 12.7 oz. bottle into a Willi Becher glass, this beer pours out a clear golden until the pour finishes, making it hazier. Forms a pinky of bone white crown.

The nose brings a huge floral presence backed by a natural acidity and fruit flesh.

The taste is like biting into a peach; flesh first and then a juiciness. There is a good amount of floral.

Very well balanced on tartness and acidity. Not really puckering, but there. Has a nice salinity.

Overall, it’s very well balanced and well made all the way around.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy goldenstraw color with a modest head that leaves a few shards

Smell: Peach forward with some plum blending in the aromatics; tart and funky

Taste: Lactic peach flavors forward with the plum adding another dimension; the middle is tart and the finish is dry

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Great fruit expression which brings the sweet and tart aspects of the fruit

Mid sized and undated bottle, direct from the source.

Pours light and near clear, with minimal head or lacing left on the glass.

Sniff reveals bright lemony notes.

On the palate its more and more lemons, biting grapefruit, tart stone fruits and some earthy funk....complex and delicious..slightly more then medium sour...well worth a try

Overall I found this beer to be
