Cloudy golden appearance with billowing white foam and spotted lacing. Great brett and barnyard funk, oak and mineral peach in the nose. Mineral peach with oak and light funk for most of the sip, but then a second wave of peach is oddly sweet, must be the juice. Feel is light yet flat, very bright and has playful tartness and funk.

bottled in august of 2020, this is a funky sour golden ale done in oak with peaches, and its delicious, acidic, and extremely peachy, special occasion type of quality, popped for my birthday, so close enough. it was a generous gift from my brother, thankful for him and for this, among the highlights of a particularly robust beer evening last night. its bright and golden colored, sunny and light looking, high shine until the bottom half inch when some sediment swirls in. it holds an short but creamy white head for a few minutes and then settles to almost still looking. the aroma is drippy juicy fresh yellow peach, fuzzy skin and all, a high summer sensation for sure, with a little bit of a white wine vinegar profile to the sourness, which stands out in front of any bretty funk here, some oak tannins too, and a very simple pale malt base. the flavor starts more sour than fruity, my palate immediately goes tight from the high acidity, as sour as anything i have had from these guys, but a half step short of that bracing hard to drink level. fortunately there is enough fruit in this and sweetness remaining in it to balance that some, the fruit hits midway through and lingers just a little through the finish, its absolute essence, such a pure expression of the peaches, obviously high quality fruit was used here, and the oak ties it all together really nicely. i get just a touch of lambic funkiness as it warms some, but the sourness ramps up too. the oak is needed for mellowness of feel, and there are more bubbles here than it looks like its holding. i could deal with a little less acid, its almost too much for more than half a bottle of this, and while i love it, i am also fine to be sharing it with my wife. the peach part makes it amazing as the ferment is a little less rustic and unique than i have known in some of their other beers, but very few beers ive ever had have shown me peach this authentic and robust. some lemony citrus finish too, and minerals. very cool beer overall, thankful to have a couple of more of theirs in my cellar. big thanks to my brother for hooking it up, wish we could have shared it!

Pale yellow body with some slight haziness; lively carbonation; dense, foamy head, white and sticky. Nice smell combination of light peach and lemon with a touch of barnyard funk; light and airy. Mild citrus taste; lemon and sparkling white wine; moderate tartness. Light body; soft fizziness; semi-juicy with an acidic background.

Light and delicate aptly describes this beer. Personally, I detect more lemon presence than peaches with this beer. The classic brett barnyard funk found in beers like this is pretty well muted, letting you savor the beer's other local ingredients to a greater degree. Bottled '8/13/20'.

From Tavour. Probably better as a refreshing summer ale, but still decent in the Fall.

Brett reduces foam and suppresses my Look ratings. Smells are apple, then lemon, then probably peaches. Tastes start with the brett's tart and ends tart even more. But balanced, not sour. In my mouth, certainly not full, maybe not even medium. But I had Pompatus with a spicy noodle dish and the ale was soothing. A good pairing with the dish's strong vinegar; one that surprises me still.

My second from Plan Bee, I've already reviewed them and their terroir strategy... all of which is nice, but a bit on the pricey side for a cheapskate like me.

This beer pours a chill hazed straw with a solid small head. The aroma is heavily brett influenced, with a pleasant barnyard and grassy funk, and a big note of tart peach, and hints of white grapes, tangerine peel and juice. The flavor is tart upfront, with notes of sour apple, white grape, underripe and ripe peach, passion fruit, tangerine, cranberry, and lemon. The mouthfeel is very light and crisp with whispy carbonation. Overall a very pleasant beer - the peach sings through nicely , and the base is sour but not eviscerating.
