16 oz. pour into a tulip at the brewery, unknown brewing/packaging date, drank over 30 minutes
A: 2/3 - yellow-orange coloration; low clarity (cannot see through); initial eggshell-white frothy carbonation settled into a 1/2 finger lacing that persisted thoughout drinking with some carbonation laking; mixed size carbonation bubbles emerged into the head; low-to-moderate legs
S: 8/12 - classic Saison aroma - peppery/spicy hops/yeast, coriander, clove and banana; little detectable malts or alcohol on the nose; no diacetyl, no DMS
T: 14/20 - on the front of the tongue, there is a subtle bitterness for balancing; in the middle of the mouth, the clean farmhouse flavors pop - spice, pepper, coriander, etc.; there is a gentle pils malt aroma and some warming alcohol on the way down; finishes semi-dry but not cloying
M: 4/5 - light-to-moderate body, refreshing/zesty, moderate-to-high carbonation
O: 8/10 - classic Belgian style farmhouse ale that allows the yeast and adjuncts center stage as opposed to the more common American hoppy examples; recommended for lovers of Saison DuPont in IA ;)
TOTAL - 36/50

Appearance is medium straw in color, a clean-looking beer.
The nose has a slight fruityness, very pleasant.
The taste is well-balanced, reminiscent of Whitbread Ale with a little less yeast spiceyness.
I would like just a wee bit more spiceyness from the yeast, but I'm a bit partial to that taste.
Coriandere and orange tastes make this a very complex beer, worth exploring.
The finish is a balanced spice/hops/malt.
