Poured from the tap at Lot 8 RFK into a clear solo cup.
A real nice solid opaque lemon yellow, with creamy forming white head not too bright, and very fine bubbles. Leaves a nice thin puck while drinking and simple collar.
Nose is interesting. Lots of dense malt, maybe some wheat and/or pils. Lots of grains with not much sense of fruit, dryness, funk or much else. Just a big ball of bread dough.
Palate though is noticeable and somewhat big. Thick dense chew and husky grains. A big thick bread punch but it is also syrupy and even strangely corn like sweet. It is also quite buttery and slick which makes me think this has some diacetyl.
Where is some hinting fruit and dry yeast?
Its ok drinking wise but this reminds me nothing like a saison.
