I had this beer on-tap in a shaker half-pint at the brewery.
Appearance: light yellow hue with perhaps the tiniest dash of haze and a thin layer of ivory foam atop.
Smell: softly malty with a light sweetness. Simple, but alluring.
Taste: slightly sweet with a nice funk and a good overall smoothness. So many saisons have a sharp edge from the funk, and this does not. One of the better American made saisons I’ve had.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a big carbonation and satisfying creaminess.
Overall: a really solid saison; I’m happy with how they threaded the needle of getting appreciable funk without getting too “sharp”.
