"Hello? Anybody here?" Nothing but echos. "Where is everyone?" I'm at the brewery, apparently alone. This is a first. My phone has been on silent for a few weeks, did I miss a memo? As my mind begins to backtrack, my eyes catch a glimpse of the taps behind the bar. Stocked beer and an empty brewery - what and opportunity! I run behind the bar with glee, like a child let loose in a toy store. I snap up a pint glass and start pouring myself a brown ale. Something is missing. I need something sweet, or creamy. Perhaps something savory. I run to the fridge and pull out some cacao nibs and a vanilla bean. Using my pocket knife, I shave away a powdering of vanilla dust and chocolate over my pint and let the flavors interact. I take a sip and it is complete.

6 week old can into an imperial nonic pint.
A: Pours more black than brown, 1.5 finger of high-density khaki head with great retention but left limited lacing.
S: Nose is pleasant, roasted malts with hints of chocolate. Chocolate gains prominence as it warms.
T: Taste follows the nose well, addition of subtle vanilla notes. A bit sweeter than I personally prefer, but not off-putting.
F: Creamy/oily hybrid mouthfeel, just a slight hint of the ABV.
O: It's a nice beer, perhaps on the sweeter side for me, but I'd gladly repeat. My first beer from Booze Brothers, will definitely look for more of their offerings, dig the can art.

Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: Ball 16-oz. mason jar
Price: $2.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.

Misc.: No canned on date
Spent way too much money on a bunch of beer from North Park Beer Company, Windmill Farms and Bine & Vine. Woof. The can description read, “"Hello? Anybody here?" Nothing but echos. "Where is everyone?" I'm at the brewery, apparently alone. This is a first. My phone has been on silent for a few weeks, did I miss a memo? Poured a black color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki tan head. Could see a few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Poor lacing. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.00)
Smelled malt chocolate, cacao, Whoppers candy, chocolate milk, vanilla, espresso and chocolate chip cookie. Not as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but still solid. In order got cacao, coffee malt, bitter dark chocolate, fudge, vanilla, espresso, Baker’s Chocolate, molasses, chocolate chip cookie and Whopper’s candy. Fairly smooth for 7 pct. ABV. (Taste - 3.75)
Full body. Oily-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Really liked this. Just an outstanding American Brown Ale. (Overall - 4.00)
