Inspired by the clandestine echoes of "Project Aurora," this beer is a nod to the mysterious and elusive. House-roasted peanuts, silky-sweet chocolate, and sixty pounds of peanut butter cups were recirculated through the Darkstar November base, enveloped in its tractor beam of molasses, bourbon, and oak. Lightly carbonated with a full-bodied gravitational pull, each sip is a close encounter with interstellar decadence.

This bloody brewery hits juuust enough that I keep buying these overpriced 500ML bottles. But with the description of this, I can't resist.

The pour is interesting. Depth black, floofy mochaccino head, lots of floaties sticking to the sides of the glass. Nose if dominant, deep chocolate.

Scramjet - what did I put in my mouth? Flavor explosion! Hearty chocolate mixes it up with the barrel in a tangible, fungible, downright fun way. Then there are the undercurrents. Nice rye bit. The molasses speaks mid-palate & is both sharp & sweet. PB shows up late & softly, mostly overrun by a reemergence of the bourbon. The stout is a great framework, but the best part of this brew is how everything speaks together, low, then growling, without a hint of alcohol but plenty of tastiness. Full. Nearing the end of the bottle & could go for some more except that I don't want to crash my beloved Audi in twenty minutes.

Ramjet good, Scramjet faster. Excellent beer that's a heartbeat away from the Presidency. Do more of this!

2023 vintage; consumed on 12/4/2024

Pours a fairly viscous, motor-oil hue capped with a short-lived fizz of mocha foam, quickly dissipating to an inky surface, barely perceptible collar, and a healthy trickle of legs meandering down the walls of the glass.

Aromas of dark cacao open into gobs of fresh peanut flour and a subtle molasses underscore while a subliminal essence of charry oak is imbued with edgy rye aspects.

Taste brings sweeter dark chocolate and doses of rich peanut flour upfront, with airy bourbon and a distant rye inflection over the mid-palate softened by taut molasses accents into the finish.

Mouthfeel shows a medium body and minimal carbonation, leaving a semi-glossy, overarching slickness leaning into mild char and quiet roast over time before finishing with a pseudo stickiness.

Silky predominance sets an effective baseline for executing peanut butter-laden intensity in this requisitely high-level marriage of adjuncted decadence and barrel-aged weight.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours jet black with little head. The nose is fudge, peanut butter, bourbon, nuts, dark bread, and a bit of maple. Really nice.

The taste is fantastic. Some roasted malts, milk chocolate, peanut butter, biscuits, graham crackers, and a hint of dark fruit. Really smooth. The ABV is not noticeable at all. Great integration of flavors.

The mouthfeel is super thick and creamy. Great stout overall.

poured from a 500mL bottle into a SP BBT22 snifter. pours inky black with a thin mocha brown foam cap that quickly fades away. big chocolate and toasted peanuts on the nose. tastes follows. more bourbon as it warms. lots of roasted peanuts but no peanut butter to speak of. medium-full mouthfeel. good for sure but peanut butter cup it is not. once you get that concept out of your head it’s a very good chocolate-forward imperial stout with nice notes of bourbon and oak and some roasted peanuts as well.
