Very light, plenty of head- pour slowly.
Unusual malt bill leads to a more bready saison. Belgian-forward yeast profile puts this one in more of a Belgian Single or light Golden Ale category for me, moreso than a Saison.
I really enjoyed this- an example of how the thoughtful addition of a few different ingredients can lead to something that is stronger than the sum of its parts.
Try it if you see it.

Draft at Woodland Empire tap room. Nice musty, herbal aroma, but taste falls a bit flat, breast. Hops don’t add much to finish either. Average Saison.

Draft tonight at the brewpub... Pours slightly hazy golden with a persistent head.. Pretty traditional saison fruity notes make me think orange.... balanced phenolic notes come off as peppercorn and lesser clovey elements.. Hops are light and earthy but are buried by the yeasty presence.... Perhaps could have used a little heavier hand... Still a very good saison.
