a real unique beer from these guys, and a base i think they must play around with a lot. like that this one, a white chocolate lager, a key lime lager, could all be different as core beers is unlikely. where it seemed the flavors overtook the beer in some of the others, this one has excellent balance, a ton of flavor from the fruit sure, but also still tastes like a german lager as a base beer, crisp even with the lactose in here, not overly desserty to me, just the essence of it, and something about the malt in here has a biscuit note that could pass for shortcake with the lactose, just awesome. the strawberry is real fresh too, natural, ripe, forward in the nose and taste, and never turning into jam or anything, even with this having some sugar in it. there is still a crispness here that makes this drink like a helles, i love that feature, summery, and carbonated like champagne. the lactose is tastefully dosed, the balance overall is exceptional, and this is one i will definitely look forward to drinking again. smart and delicious, not too gimmicky to drink a whole bunch of, even though it sounds weird!
