Draft at Bitter creek. Hazy golden pour, soft white head. Sweet, grassy aroma. Taste is sweet, floral, honey. Light yeasty notes with a smooth, almost creamy feel..

very cool project and very cool result, although to me more of a golden ale than a farmhouse, i think thats generous for this, as the fermentation profile is pretty minimal, not a defining element of this at all, but the beer is brewed with dandelion flowers picked in the local parks as part of the no spray management they do, really neat to find a commercial use for them, and i think they add a lot to this otherwise simple golden brew, very neat summer drinker here. sunny and close to clear with a short half inch of white head on it from the tap. the nose is cool, herbal and bitter, i almost get the greens as much as the yellow heads themselves, but a pollen floral thing, cut grass, light malt sweetness, and just a faint spiciness perhaps from the yeast but maybe more of a peppery thing from the dandelions, nice job infusing them into this, no denying their presence. the flavor is even more floral and dandelion driven than the aroma, super summery, and i love how there is also some dandelion derived bitterness through most of this, combating a little honey sweetness in the grain profile but also helping this finish briskly, definitely a more full spectrum expression of the dandelions. the yellow flowers add a lot to this, really in the drivers seat, well ahead of where any hops would be, and again maybe just a faint spice note on the swallow from the yeast. kind of a long drink but still with the quicker finish which is cool, fluffy medium body, not all that light, and with enough carbonation. this is subtly really incredible, something most beer drinkers will like but also extremely nerdy and a cool use of the dandelions, cool story too, i think that makes this pretty special overall. been a long time since i have seen anything new from woodland with all the changes, hopefully this is a new direction they are setting out in, really enjoyed this for all that it is!
