Consumed 8/10/15
A: Pours a clear gold with some straw - pours with a small white head, fades quickly to a few wisps and a collar, leaves a few streaks
S: Light sweetness and some saison spices- definitely mild, kind of like a "table" saison - clean, lightly sweet pale malts, pale grains, with a touch of honey - sweet bread - light earthiness, hint of grass, pepper - some floral citrus, and some light fruit, bubblegum sweetness
T: Sweet bread with a touch of spice - light, pale malts, pale grains, sweet bread, biscuit dough, barely baked biscuits, crackers - low amount of saison yeast flavor - some light funk, pepper, banana, bubblegum, apples - more sweetness, honey - finishes mostly clean, with lingering sweet
M: Light body, low carbonation, lightly sweet finish, at the very least, it's somewhat refreshing
O: Not much going on here, but it's hard to actually dislike
Everything in this beer needs to be amplified, except for the sweetness. The malt profile is quite nice, and more of it would be better. The saison yeast is nice, and more of it would be better. This is so light that it would be a fantastic saison with food. Otherwise, it's not too memorable.

Bottle from Bert's
Hazy deep straw color with a decent sized white head. Sweet honey like maltiness with peppery spice to counter. The flavor is sweet almost too sweet for a saison and not enough citrus or tart or earth or funk to balance. Decent enough brew but could be better.
