Pours a fully opaque pale milky yellow, with a finger of foamy white head, that quickly reduces to a soapy cap and collar.

Nose: Intense orange juice, more sweet, ripe pineapple than I've ever smelled in a beer, mango, papaya, some guava notes, and a hint of strawberry and kiwi. No dankness, grassy notes, pine, grapefruit, earthiness, yeast, or funk. An absolute tropical juice bomb.

Palate: Right from the start, this opens up with moderate malt sweetness. Pale, pilsner, and a neutral clean-ness that may be attributed to some oat. The sweetness isn't tacky, sticky, or honey-like. It's prominent, but not cloying or distracting in any way, and allows for a bit of dry crispness. There is some incredibly unique hop character. That strawberry and kiwi thing takes center stage. Lots of juicy pineapple, papaya, and mango follow close behind, with some bright citrus notes coming into focus. As it progresses towards the finish, the citrus shifts more to a white pithy grapefruit, and then resinous pine sets the stage in the finish. Low to moderate drying bitterness that fades rather quickly. Finish is dry grapefruit rind and pine.

Mouthfeel/Body: The beer is soft, plush, and slightly fluffy. It's not at all sticky, syrupy, thick, or viscous, but there is a very nice New England softness to it. Good body and heft, but not heavy or sludgy. Above-average effervescence leads to an overall welcomed crispness, and makes this a very drinkable, and almost refreshing 7.4%. Well balanced and very easy-to-drink, without any sacrifice of body.

Overall: This is a very nice New England IPA. I would not call this a double IPA (nor do they), but it's approaching that territory. There isn't anything in particular that makes this stand out in a market flooded with NEIPAs, but I will say that the hop character is very unique. The strawberry kiwi juice note in this is not a flavor I have encountered in any other IPA I've tried, and I appreciate that element of uniqueness. There is without a doubt, a high proportion of Citra hops in here, but I cannot figure out the rest. I don't detect Mosaic, Simcoe, or Galaxy. Maybe El Dorado, but that's a stretch. It has some unique flavor attributes, paired with an incredibly drinkable format, a wonderful body that's both soft and crisp, a nice balanced sweetness, and no lack of flavor, and for that, I will say that this is an excellent NEIPA, and definitely worth trying if you're curious. Don't stand in line for it, but don't hesitate to snatch up a can or two if you encounter it.

Hand It Over pours a hazy pear juice yellow with a soapy and loose 2-finger head. The smell is big pineapple with peach and mango along with sweet melon. The taste follows the nose with a nice pineapple, grapefruit and peach with a mild sweetness. Smooth over the palette with very little bitterness.

Hazy gold with a creamy two finger head. The aromas are subtle citrus, pineapple and peach. It's a bit on the dry side. Just a hint of sweet citrus and pineapple. More tart than sweet. There's also some grass and pine notes. Hops don't make an appearance til the finish, and it's on the light side. Medium bodied with a nice creamy texture.

Can. I have had a couple Sand City beers, and I remember them being murky. This looks like it was a collaborative effort because this is turbz, homie. On the intensity scale the nose is somewhere around a 6 or 7. Pretty standard New England IPA note; Citra all day. Flavor is better. Hop, fruit, juice and creamy oats. Like really creamy. Wow, the mouthfeel on this is absurd. Thick and creamy like a stout. I enjoyed this beer. To me it comes off more Sand City than Finback, from my experience.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving some lacing down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Light aromas of pineapples are present in the nose along with notes of gooseberries and grapefruit.
T: The taste has flavors of gooseberries, limes, and pineapples along with notes of grapefruit. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: Despite using just a single hop, this New England IPA has a lot of interesting complexities in both the smell and taste.

16 oz can.
Golden, opaque haze in the glass. Moderate to mild head, off white.
Aromas of your typical and bold citrus, tropics, etc.

Juicy, full-mouthed, northeast ipa; killing it as usual. Maybe they're telling everybody to chillax and hand-over-the-title please? I don't know who they're even after anymore.

Pours a totally opaque straw yellow with a towering white head of foam that just doesn’t relent; spectacular retention. A thick smattering of soapy lacing is left behind, as is an almost finger-wide cap.

Aromas of sweeter pineapple with hints of dankness, melon rind, vinous cranberry, and a faint dose of grassy and herbal hops; finishes with a vague grape must quality I’d expect from a bit of Nelson influence.

Taste brings a solid dose of gritty tropical fruits (I’m talking dirt influence here), bits of herbalized lemon zest, dank pineapple, and a faint, herbal hoppiness to go along with a light, doughy quality on the finish; fairly muddled profile, but the flavors are nice and pungent when revealed.

Mouthfeel displays a medium body with a balanced, if not noticeable, carbonation; pretty fluffy on the palate, but not over-carbed at all, as it embraces a certain juiciness by the finish, along with a light hop prickle across the mid-palate.

Solid IPA that becomes just a bit too muddled at times to take full advantage of its profile. Some tropical juiciness here, some dank hops there, and an overall balance that’s pretty inviting, but these elements never quite ‘pop’ to the point of fully supporting one another; for me, that’s what’s holding this back from the next level.
