Thick viscous pour; fresh squeezed orange juice. Minimal head and lacing. Light citrus and pine nose. Flavor is intense with mango and tropical notes. Some slight pine and resin, but nothing off or out of balance. For a strong bold brew, this is great to drink.

the really strong ones from these guys were super intense, this one maybe above all the others. they feel slick and oily and have an almost candied complexion with the hops and in the place of the usual bitterness that comes in ipa types this big, this is really intense, not sure i could do a whole pint can in a sitting, but as a smaller pour its an enjoyable sipper. its weird that this presents itself as so enormous because oddly enough its not all the boozy, maybe a little warm at the end, but not as hot as i thought it might be. the hops seem super concentrated, maybe a cryo thing happening, kiwi fruit, preserved lemons, a stronger version of citra i have known in other beers for sure. a pine and spruce intensity on the back end but neither vegetal nor bitter, like an essential oil of that or something, and a little residual sweetness, possibly some lactose in here, maybe just a honey note and some body from the grain, not totally sure how its done, but a balance is struck somehow in the hugeness of it all. i taste it forever and burp it awhile, these guys are ahead of the game on the haze, way ahead...

Canned on 9/24/18

Pours a murky, bright dark gold with a slight half-finger of thin, off-white foam that recedes quickly and leaves minimal lacing.

Aroma is balanced, creamy dankness common in the best of Finback IPAs; subtle herbaceousness builds to smooth citrus sweetness, primarily apricot, orange, and mango.

Taste is candied pineapple, sweet pine, dank mango and peach; nice bit of general candied sweetness adds to a subtle finish.

Mouthfeel is very clean on the palate, surprising light-medium body and compact, smooth carbonation; consistent throughout and semi-dry with a slight stickiness to the finish.

Big beer that drinks incredibly well and offers a smooth, inviting profile from every angle; very well-executed triple IPA.
