This is a brett saison, as advertised. nothing more, nothing less. This beer is so boring. I drank it, cause it tastes fine, but there is nothing exciting. Pretty dry, but not much else going on. Probs wouldnt buy again

Large bottle, caged and corked.
Pours near clear, (later pours got a lot murkier, with haze and some yeasty floaties) ilghter amber, under an initially over sized off white head. Leaves spotty loose bits of lacing.
Nose here is of pepper, ripe fruits, yeast and some earthyness.
Complex and tasty saison, with more pepper, ripe tropical notes, light funk, earthyness, yeasty goodness.
Well worth a try....nice to see more quality ales being brewed in the five boroughs of NYC

Beautiful lightly cloudy gold, with a finger of white foam that kicks back to a pretty tight cap.
Tart yeast, apricot, earthy funk, hints of barnyard, light peppery spice, nice.
Very blended taste, but all the notes of the aroma are here, in a medium strength delivery. Definitely more zingy spice to it than expected, and less fruitiness. End of sip is a dry crescendo of earthy brett and spice. As it warms a bit more barnyard enters the mix.
Highly viscous for style, nice linger that builds only slightly, high carb., frames the taste pretty well.
A beer that suffers by comparison to other better brett saisons. Kinda high priced for what it is, but a tasty beer, esp. for those who like the earthy and dry character of brett.

From 11/02/14 notes. Picked this up the day before at the brewery, poured from a 750ml bottle into my Transmitter globe glass.
Pours a murky reddish-burnt orange color with two inches of off white head and moderate to high carbonation evident. Sour red wine, Belgian yeast, spice, citrus, sour dark fruits, fruity malts, funk, and earthy notes. Taste is a little more tart than the nose. As it warms up more funk, especially in the taste. Medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall I thought this was very good; i think this is their best beer yet in my opinion. The barrel adds a lot and some awesome funk and sour/tart dark fruits and wine notes, but not too overpowering. Really good, hoping this make this more often.
