I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving some lace. The scent had roast and molasses notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet dark chocolate malt base with roast, vanilla, and molasses presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

12 oz can canned 6/26/23 into a Becher glass.
L: Pours essentially black with a 1" rocky khaki head, fine light carbo, good head retention, some sticky lacing.
S: Strong caramelized malts, a hint of light coffee, dark fruits, dark brown bread, raisins, light minerals, a hint of smokiness.
T: Dark roasted caramelized malts, nutty, a hint of chocolate, malted milk ball candy, a gentle mineral taste, it sits directly in the middle of being neither sweet nor bitter. Perhaps a tad bit bitter in the finish.
F: Creamy and smooth medium bodied feel with a fluffy center and a light finish that is gently drying.
O: What a pleasant surprise! A lip-smacking good beer with a halo of desert treats but is not overly sweet. Fantastic balance and feel with a light fruity aftertaste. Imagine Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Light minus rye. 10 Ton Black Lager is simply excellent in its style.
