What a find !
Bought at the Australian Wine Center near Sydney's Circular Quay, Batch Brewing is the passion of two home brewers who have taken their craft to the next level.
Das Bock came protected from the Aussie heat in a opaque 640ML bottle, unadorned except for brown tag giving the details including that it was bottled on Sept 19 2017.
Shared at a dinner party organized by Belgian emigres to the Down Under, they both said that they had never had a Aussie beer this flavorful in their 20 years here. (I have good luck... or better beer hunting skills.)
Looks like a classic doppel. Smells mostly sweet, fruity malts. But Batch's apparent knowledge of Bavarian yeasts really shows in the Taste; wonderfully rich and full in the mouth... with only a pleasant lingering.
I would like to have this again. But too little time to do proper hunting !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
