Taste the thistle flowers in this bright and lively honey lager. Local bees buzzed this beer with subtle flavours of countless field trips to the backwoods. What can we say, it’s the bee’s knees!

Appearance: Poured an incredibly pale, clear yellow with a boatload of carbonation in the body. Sadly the half finger of head it produced quickly evaporated and didn't stick around long enough to lace.
Smell: I'm catching a whiff of honey and maybe the barest traces of grain in the background, but it's pretty thoroughly buried. Warming just brings out more honey, which is fine I guess, it is just all honey and no lager.
Taste: If there was any doubt there is honey in this lager, it is erased very quickly as it permeates the entire beer. For the most part, it accents the beer in all the right ways, it amplifies what I would call a pedestrian malt presence into something not too sweet but not too grainy as it slowly transitions to a slight bitter note that is well reigned in by the hops.
Mouthfeel: Lack of head generally doesn't sit well with me, and this is no exception. The carbonation is noticeable and helps out the entire beer and the aftertaste is unsurprisingly, more honey. Thankfully it's subtle.
Drinkability: Easy to drink and fairly refreshing, although it is a bit too sweet. It is a little gassy, but not overwhelmingly so, and of course it is very light bodied as expected. Despite the sticky honey taste, it manages to come across as crisp.
Final Thoughts: If you want Honey Lager where honey really makes it's presence know, this is the beer. If you want a bit more of a balanced brew where the honey just reigns in certain aspect...well this beer does a good job of that too, it's just not the greatest and a bit excessive. So I think this amounts to a mild recommendation, just keep in mind there is plenty of honey in this lager.
