This dry hopped lager is perfect for summer ! It pours a cloudy pinky red color (thanks to real beets in the brew) and presents a refreshing aroma followed by a thirst quenching finish.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated May 3 2023 and served slightly chilled. There are no beets in the ingredients list, but it does mention hibiscus flower.
Pours a clear medium gold, featuring more than a finger of foamy, soapy white head that fades within several minutes. It leaves behind an impressive coat of lace as it's worn down to a creamy collar and thin cap. I do get a little bit of floral, herbal hibiscus on the nose, as well as hints of lemony hops and sourdough bread.
The flavour profile hits most of the same notes: a little citrusy, with lemon and grapefruit rind supported by a grainy, sourdough bread-y malt backbone. The hibiscus adds fruitiness to the forefront, and an earthy, herbal note on the back end; mild bitterness, with a weakly fruity, floral aftertaste that lingers momentarily. Light-medium in body, with assertive, prickly carbonation and an unusually fluffy, fulfilling mouthfeel for such a light beer. Not that I'm complaining - in fact, it might be what I like most about this dry hopped lager.
Final Grade: 3.65, a B grade. Beach Me Up Scotty is interesting, but is it a beer I really feel the need to drink again? The hibiscus is mostly a distraction, but the dry hop flavours do come through quite nicely - I'm really on the fence here. I suppose it's a nice changeup from the pilsners and pale ales I tend to drink on a daily basis, combining a little from columns A & B... oh, what the heck. I'll give it a thumbs up, and will probably buy a few more cans while it's still available. It's the best Perth product I've tried so far.
