Much better than expected. Big wine and fruit notes in the taste, grain and some banana aromatics. Yeast and spice puts it closer to traditional saisons but with more juicy fruit. Lingering bitterness makes me wonder how hopped it was ... doesn't claim to be a hoppy saison, but strikes me as having a considerable hop presence.

Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, banana, caramel, spice, earth, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with banana, caramel, spice, and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.
