On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy golden with fluffy white head, lively carbonation and nice lacing. Aroma is of funky yeast, bready malt, wheat, citrus and spices. Body is medium and smooth. Cloves, citrus fruit, peppery yeast, earthy hops and wheat malt fill the mouth. Finish is long and spicy. Nice brew.

Slightly hazy pale yellow, topped with a thin, soft film, and leaving coral patterned lace on the glass.

Smell is lemon, light cheese, yeast, and hay.

A crisp cracker and a peppery yeast bite open up at first taste. Bright, tangy and unexpected herbal, with hints of stone fruit, and blueberry coming to mind at times.

Definitely better than Wanderlust, the only other Saison I've had of theirs.

Pint on draft in a mason jar at Local Sprouts in Portland, Maine.

Appearance: Pours a nearly clear yellow with a frothy white head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma: Dry, with notes of clove and spice. Somewhat earthy.

Taste: Tasty dry, peppery, spicy saison. Some lemon. Some grass/earth.

Mouthfeel: Easy on the palate. Pleasant.

Overall: Very enjoyable saison. Paired with a soup and sandwich. Great combo.

Pours clear, bright yellow in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is melon, grass, funk, and a touch of grape. A nice summer sipper. I have others in the style I prefer, but this one is good.

From growler purchased at brewery.
Clear light gold, small head that fades leaving lacing.
Smell of light spice with a bit of underlying funk. Dirty spice?
Taste: light sour spice, nothing overpowering but distinct flavor.
Feel: smooth in the mouth, medium body
A drinkable farmhouse. Not overpowering, but you know you're not drinking just anything off the shelf.

Draught @ Foundation: This one pours a hazy golden color. There was a small off white head that left some lacing. Good nose. Earthy, wheat, spices, citrus and floral notes. Taste is along the same lines.

Dive Bar bliss.

A- Big ol pint filled with a pale yellow golden brew that is slightly hazy. Puffy, frothy white crown with good retention. Plentiful webs and drizzled lace.

S- As billed its a pretty neutral farmhouse brew that not being a knock at all. Citrus like lemon oil, Belgian yeast spice and pale cracked cereal grains.

T- Saison yeast driven with a big citrus presence like lemon and orange zest, white grape is strong, peppercorn and coriander, wheat bread and a hint of phenolic flavors. Pale cereal grains but dry overall.

MF- Smooth and silky medium bodied feel for the style. Foamy and frothy overall texture with a hint of lemony tartness in the finish.

A farmhouse standard with big yeast tones all over the palate. Pale fruits and citrus zest are the driver for me with plenty of other complexities balanced in.

Lasting head that leaves a blanket of lace. Cloudy light gold color.

Flowery and a touch of sourness.

Relatively thin and effervescent. Predominately sour but not in a lip smacking way. Way in the background I pick up some berry.

on tap poured into snifter. I am not a huge saison guy but I keep trying them every once in awhile. I thought this was very good it had a nice light funk to it but it wasn't bitter or abrasive on the tongue. it was very smooth felt very low carbonation, malty and very soft. This is a saison I wouldn't kick out of bed!

On-tap 11/16/2014 at Battleship Brewhouse in Fall River, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, wheat, Belgian yeast, caramelized malts, some spices and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out very sweet with flavors of citrus, bananas and caramel as well as some spices. Then some breadiness comes in from Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a very good Saison to pound down for a long time.

22 oz glass was poured into a stemless wine glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy orange yellow color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Awesome lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Vanilla, pilsner malts, Belgian yeast, yeasty esters, apples, pears, and some spice.

Taste: Same as above with some mild bitterness in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Light, crisp, refreshing, slight bitterness, a little chewy, a little dry, and medium to high carbonation.

Overall. This beer is very traditional to style. Tasty and delicious too. Will be revisiting these guys next time up in Portland.

ACBF sample

A-Pours a lightly hazy yellow/orange. The head was just as thick as the body of my two oz. sample.

S-The thing that sticks out most to me is the spicy and phenolic yeast of the beer. Fruity esters are also picked up in the nose. There is a noticeable hop character which I enjoy.

T-Spicy and lightly cloves is the yeast. Apples and other fruits. A grassy hoppiness accompanies the yeast and a light, easy malt provides backing to the more dynamic flavors.

M-Medium bodied. Light bitterness. Finishes mostly dry. Well carbonated.

O-A no frills Saison that is definitely good but also much like many others in the style.
