Bottle 143/450. Originally brewed in 2017, subsequently aged in foeders and red wine barrels. released december 2018 and consumed january 2019.
beautiful glowing straw color, bright white head that quickly fizzes away to a thin sudsy ring. on nose there is a bright acidity invoking fruity qualities of peach, and meyer lemon, there is a mellow grassy and floral quality and an oaky vanilla sweetness dancing in the background. smells beautiful. palate explodes with that same fruity blast of acidity, under ripe peaches, lemon, green apple, hay, grape skin, cherry, wood, yogurt, tannins, all showing up in abundance. overall a delicious and complex beer with moderate tartness and some excellent acidity and barrel flavor. very refreshing, an absolute treat!
