Can to tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt purple tinged orange intertwining. Soft semi-foamy thin head slid off at a good pace. Light wispy lace.
The aroma had some soft saison features in front of raspberry, lime and lactose. All blending together very nicely.
The flavor leaned towards the Belgian saison side at first but seemed to thoroughly blend with the raspberries and limes, keen tartness and some sweet berry tones. Fruity tart skin/berry aftertaste with some Belgian spice tones.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation and a very Belgian clean malty and berry to lime-like finish.
Overall, what a fabulous Belgian saison true to style with the raspberries, limes and lactose added just to be an extra.
