Bought from Beermiscuous (as did many of the raters on UnTappd that I just read thru, only 28 in 2 months.)
As for Walter, I think Empirical should be proud of this wit. A first release (although it is their third wit), Walter plays well to what the Belgian tradition does for summer; refresh the palate for lighter foods.
Saddled by average Looks and mildly fruity Smells, Walter recovers by offering a balanced Taste in which the wheat sits softly in the mouth and scrubs the tongue to take another bite of, in this case, my world-famous ratatouille. Walter is not the best of the 140 wits I've had, but with a more energetic yeast it will climb many rungs of the wit ladder next year.
I revisited Empirical's website and see that not Covid, but a leaky roof, has sent their taproom into a tailspin... seven years after it opening. I hope they recover. In the meantime, cans are good enough.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
