16oz can 4/7/22

Hazy straw color. One finger of white head. Not much retention. Ok lacing.

Smell: clove dominates, light banana

Taste follows. Maybe a bit of lemon added in.

Drinks easily. Low carbonation. Medium bodied.

It's a wheat beer. Nothing special but checks all the boxes.

Light copper and quite clear. Head was about an inch of loose off-white foam that didn't last particularly long. Certainly not a bad looking beer, but nothing jumps out at me either. Aroma has plenty of pleasant yeast notes, along with banana and maybe some clove. Good smelling beer.

Taste largely follows the nose, with the banana / yeast leading the way. There's a hint of spice on the finish, but not much. Feel is a bit on the thin side.

Overall, solid beer. I really like wheat beers, and while I wouldn't go out of my way to get this, that's not a knock on it. It's a solid beer that I could easily envision enjoying a few of...even better if it's in their taproom.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one in a ninja hit within our NBS BIF #15 chaos.
Strange color. Dark brownish orange. Nice fluffy head. Slight lacing with good retention.
Aroma pops with banana and bubble gum upfront but a herbal zesty spice joins in as well. To me this is smelling more along the lines of a confident hefeweizen.
Flavor is a muted orange rind that's no awash in a mildly bitter, earthy spice note. The finish is mildly "yeasty" with a hint of crackery grain. But again, this leaves a bitter orange peel aftertaste.
Feel is on the lighter side of medium and carbonation is present.
Overall, I would've enjoyed this more had it lived up to the nose.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one, from his first NBS BIF #15 strike. 16oz can (dated 3/14/22) poured into 14oz teku. The label calls it a "Belgian-style Wheat Ale", which to me signifies Wit. This beer is not white. It's not yellow. It's dark orange, bordering on brown. not unattractive, but not what we were led to expect either. Poured that very cloudy dark orange color with a bit more than a half-inch white head that had moderate retention and lacing.

Very nice Belgian yeast at the front of the aroma, with nice earthy grains as a foundation. seems like there might be some spice beyond the yeast, but I can't quite pin it down.

Fairly similar on the tongue; solid grains, nice yeast, some spiciness, and a bit of banana and bubble, almost Hefe-style.

The body was light-medium, smooth, and had a medium finish that dried out a touch after a few moments.

Drinkability was good, a smooth and easy quaff.

Overall, a solid and nicely enjoyable brew. Worth a shot if you see it.

First beer of the day for me, received courtesy of a ninja strike from @Roy_Hobbs in the the current BIF. I was excited to try this one when I saw it had juniper berries, if I had to pick a spirit it would be gin, my go to at a wedding if there is no good beer to choose from. The label paired well with probably my favorite glass, courtesy of the one and only @BBThunderbolt

Pour much darker than I would have expected, a cloudy slightly orange slightly brown color. Head quickly settles to see through white.

Aroma is a big hit of typical bubble gum, banana and spice that you would expect from a wit. In the background there is some extra sweetness hiding almost coming off in the form of sweet berries, is it the juniper combining with the lemon and orange??? Not sure but its quite pleasant.

The taste gives much of the same as the nose but the spice note shines much more than the nose would suggest. The bubble gum is still there to me along with that sweet berry like note, shows mostly in the aftertaste.

A pleasant creamy carbonation meets the tongue first, medium body, a tiny bit of residual sweetness and no bitterness to speak of.

This is a wit on the sweeter side, it also drinks as such. Its pretty enjoyable though.
