From Conshohocken's website: FedNuts: Peach Melba is our donut-inspired fruited ale brewed in collaboration with our friends at Federal Donuts. Brewed with lactose and conditioned on peaches, raspberries, and vanilla beans. Fednuts: Peach Melba pairs best with chicken & donuts!
Pours a downright murky, swampy peach with a healthy 2 fingers of dense foam which eventually thins to a sheen. Zero lacing. Passive sniffing smells vaguely pastry-like. More aggressive huffing reveals peach and raspberry and a little vanilla. It's as advertised, even if I can't really make out what the base beer is supposed to be. Tastes as advertised, too. It's tasty and light and soft and fruity. Finishes a little flat with sort of a minimal, low-grade carbonation. I can't help but feel like more carbonation would give the whole affair a needed lift. As is, though, it's perfectly drinkable, if a bit underwhelming.
