On tap at brewery. Nice connection with the German name, as this is more of the Old World rye style, dark, sour and bready. Liquid pumpernickel, so to speak. Lots of savory caraway, etc.

Draft at the 17th St. pub tonight with dinner.... Very hazy.. Dark brown pond water, would be soooo much prettier if any light could pass. Nutty, light roastiness translates as cocoa.. Rye never exactly seems "spicy" in my mind, instead more dry/toasted grain/GrapeNut etc... Good hop bitterness with some lingering citrus.. Seems a bit thicker than expected for the 6.2%, perhaps comes from the rye? Interesting brew with good drinkability.
