Pours a light golden straw with half a finger of head that dissipates over a few minutes, leaving some attractive lacing on the glass. Smells like a melange of fruit cocktail, with pineapple leading the way (as expected) but with canned peaches, cherry, and pear all in the mix. The juicy, tropical Galaxy hops were a smart match for the pineapple, lending more complexity to the nose. The flavors are also quite tropical, though in a bit less harmony than the aromatics. Mandarins and floral hoppy bitterness compete with the pineapple juice on the tongue, creating a beer with plenty of flavorful components that don't quite mesh into a coherent whole. The lactose adds a bit of body and lengthens the finish. An interesting drink.
