Dark and Stormy is different... in a good way.
It has different Looks; dark as advertised and a gentle foam.
Smells are not much like an IPA, tame hops and modest malts.
Tastes mild, malty and modest bitterness; spiced with lime and ginger to create interest.
Feel is gentle and worked with appetizers and patatas bravas.
Fogbelt is five years old. They have an interesting angle: naming their ales after redwoods in the fog belt along northern California. With a plethora of breweries, that is one way to distinguish your brewery. Otherwise, they seem to have very similar products. But still, I wish them well.
