Almost turbid dark amber nearing red with a puffy khaki head.
Semisweet Werther's is met by drying fall malts and a faint hop astringency that becomes less metallic and improves as it warms, allowing a pleasant maltiness to expand.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It a slightly hazy amber with thin white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bright bitter hop notes with subtle citrus highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright crystal malt start that turned a hoppy bitter finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

In the glass the beer appeared with a dark amber body and a nearly non-existent head. Sweet grain and honey scents. Toasted malt flavor; good hop bitterness; some diacetyl notes. Medium body with a dry finish.
A fair malt-forward ale with some rough edges. The lack of any lasting head is dissappointing for an ale like this, yet the flavors came across quite nicely.
