On tap at the new Brew Project on Fifth Ave in Hillcrest. Dark murky reddish brown brew with a dollop of foam. Gigantic coffee taste along with a smooth sweetness. This is going to put KahlĂșa out of business. Huge coffee aromatics. Brown sugar and a spot of molasses.

Crazy delicious. A velvet hammer. Tasted on 11-11-2015.

Glass: Snifter glass
From: Alpine Beer Company Pub in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $6.00
Purchased: Aug. 8, 2015
Consumed: Aug. 8, 2015
Misc.: N/A

Poured a dark brown, mahogany color with two fingers of khaki tan, fluffy head when I got it. A good amount of circular, spiderweb, layered lacing on the sides of the glass. Average retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled toffee, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate milk, coca, faint vanilla, chocolate syrup and maple syrup. Not that potent though, tough to find. (Smell - 4.00)

Taste was more potent though, getting rich dark coffee malts, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, hazelnut, roasted nuts, vanilla and dark cocoa. Alcohol is well hidden. (Taste - 4.00)

Full body. Slick-to-thick texture. Above average carbonation. Long, warming bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)

This beer was even better than the last time I had a taster a few months ago. Really nice. (Overall - 4.00)
