Pours a medium clear straw color with a large soapy head and plenty of lace. Aroma is malty but does carry a whiff of herbal hops. In the taste, a well balanced bock that has a bready, biscuit note and woody, herbal hop flavor and restrained bitterness. Light to medium bodied, smooth and easy drinking.

Had on-tap at Shannon Rose in Woodbridge, NJ:

Pours golden with a white creamy head that leaves plenty of lacing.

The smell is of apricot, nectarine, orange - very hoppy - bready backing - esters are restrained - a good sign for a lager.

A firm malt backing gives a touch of sweetness while a good amount of hops gives a bitter, fruity character. Grapefruit, apricot, nectarine fruitiness show through. Very complex. It has a touch of warming alcohol comes through in the smooth, dry finish.

Creamy smooth. This is a well-made lager.

A very well-done hoppy bock!

On tap at the Old Toad in Rochester, NY.

This is a beer that is a blend of 4 batches of a single hopped bock- the 4 hops are Bobek, Celeia, Dana, and Aurora. Cool concept. All hops are of the Styrian Goldings family.

Pours a golden, shimmery yellow, with a one inch head, and some little spots of lacing down the glass.

Very flowery hop aroma here, with a little bit of pear and citrus, and some honey-like malt.

The taste is similar. Very pleasant and low key. The dominant hop flavor is primarily floral, with a bit of peach, pear, and green apple. A little bit of malt sweetness, honey-like, at the front of each sip. Slightly bitter.

Light bodied, very drinkable. Crisp mouthfeel.

Victory crushes lagers like most US brewers dream they could.

Had on tap at blind tiger- poured a clear golden yellow color with about a finger of head, a small bit if retention and some nice streaks of lacing.

Smell is hoppy and slightly grainy. A little citrus and some pinecones. Very nice.

Tastes great! A really nice grainy sweet malt backbone with a great smattering of hops (a little grapefruit and earthy pine).

Feels really great also! Medium body and light moderate carbonation. This is an awesome beer- get it if you can!

On tap @ the Downingtown brewery. Pour a clear straw gold with a 1/2 finger of creamy bright-white head. This rings the sides of the glass with sudsy lacing. The nose is equal parts flowery and sweet with some fruity and spicy tones mixed in. The taste has a honeyed sweetness to it that mingles with some citric fruitiness on the palate. A crisp and spicy bitterness lingers into the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a firm feel to the carbonation that dances around in the mouth a bit. A touch of underlying thickness gives the overall feel a bit more beef that what you would have initially thought. This was a tasty and relatively easy going Bock with a spicy crispness to it that helped cut the sweetness that you would usually find in the style. I love discovering new offerings like this here.
