Purchased as a single can from Ingles for $1.50. Poured into a tulip glass.
L - Dark magenta and clear, with a frothy and sudsy three-finger foamy white head.
S - Lime is present for sure, but getting some floral and herbal notes, too. Sweet-smelling.
T - Straw and wheat immediately follow the rather strong lime note. Not really getting hibiscus, rather than a variety of floral and tea-like notes. Well-balanced with a light tartness at the finish.
F - "Refreshing" would be an understatement. Light-medium body, with almost no carbonation. Easy-to-drink. A bit too watery for me, though.
O - Not a bad ale by any means. Refreshing, and with some light tea-like notes, this would be perfect if it was released in the spring. Would've liked a more prominent hibiscus note, but aside from that it's pretty good. Would recommend trying at least once.
