Best before 9/21/22; consumed on 8/5/22
Pours a turbid, dirty golden orange body capped with two fingers of dense, creamy, off-white foam; solid head retention leaves a slight finger of creamy cap, moderate, frothy carbonation, and a comprehensive display of spotty lacing painting the walls of the glass.
Aroma offers a mushy amalgam of pineapple, papaya, guava, and orange zest resounding on the initial impression; a malt backbone is firm yet delicate, leaving space for airy shreds of pink grapefruit enmeshed in a wet herb bouquet alongside musty lime undertones.
Taste brings underripe pineapple stimulated with lime seltzer and a flaky malt backdrop; guava sherbet layers shreds of musty mango and white grape must on the back end of the profile.
Mouthfeel shows a medium-light body and a fluffy prickle of moderate carbonation, leaving a creamy gloss highlighting pillowy resins over the mid-palate, while a minimal bitterness on the back end rounds into a resoundingly clean finish with juicy subtext.
An intense variation across the flavor spectrum finds exhaustive herbaceousness meeting tropical must in almost stunningly compact form in an IPA as deceptively complex in hop expression as it is inherently easy-drinking.

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery into a stemmed tulip glass.
Pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a finger of effervescent white head. The head leaves a fuckton of cobweb lacing as it settles into a halo.
The aroma is the god damn citrus Armageddon. Orange rind, tangerines, grapefruit, and lemon zest destroy the nostrils before a second wave of mango and melon comes through. Stupid. Stu. Pid.
The flavor follows the nose: Tangerines, orange rind and grapefruit with some mangoes and honeydew melon.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Relatively soft and dry with a creamy, smooth finish.
Overall, this is a fantastic pale ale that rivals something from Hill Farmstead whilst still remaining unique on its own.

Pours a bright straw yellow, opaque but necessarily "hazey", quarter cap. Aroma on BG beers can be a tad light sometimes, but I think this one sets the table well with some halo orange, red grapefruit and classic citra hop. Taste is off the charts - great expression of the Citra hop. It has all those bright tropic notes you would expect (grapefruit, tangerine, guava) with just a perfect earthy hop bitterness to bolster & compliment those tropical notes. The balance is there, the flavor is there, it is as good as any sole Citra beer I have had.
