Thanks, Chad!
Thanks to Chad for adding this one late to my haul and making me have a headache for six days after. Didn’t have a lot of hype going in as Chad said it was just an OK saison. Here’s to a 3.50. EDIT: Later realized that I gave it a 2.75 on Untappd back on April 7, 2015 while with Chad.
Poured an amber semi-clear color with two fingers of off-white head, which dissipated quickly. Rather serene setting underneath. Poor watery lacing. Minimal retention. (Sight - 2.50)
Smelled cloves, banana, grass, green grapes, pear, spoiled fruit, herbal, Circus Peanuts and menthol. More like a weizen than a saison. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste followed the nose for the most part, which seems more like a weizen than a saison. Got Circus Peanuts, cloves, green grapes, pear, herbal, spoiled fruit, menthol, peach and apricot. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Thin texture. Average-to-soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50)
While not necessarily a saison in my opinion, I liked this. Very interesting. (Overall - 3.75)
