Poured from a 25.4 oz bottle into a tulip glass.

Pours a cloudy lemonade color with a half-finger of bright white head. The head is gone as quickly as it's poured, leaving no lacing whatsoever. Kind of looks like carbonated pee, to be honest.

The aroma is lightly tart, with notes of green apple and lemon. Then comes a wave of bread and barnyard funk.

The flavor brings lots of green apple and lemon drop candy. The middle is doughy and funky, before finishing with some sweet citrusy notes.

The feel is light bodied and a bit over-carbonated. Dry and crisp on the finish.

Overall, a pretty solid saison. It's funky and tart, without being sour. The overbearing carbonation and hideous urine color are my only real knocks on this one. Everything else is well done.

This is their first light saison but I didn't see it on ba. Really nice citrus and slight funk aroma. Great taste, grapefruit an orange.

Not sure where I'm coming out on this beer as I'm not a huge Saison Brett guy but here goes -

Look - Almost clear. Some initial carbonated head that dissipated quickly and left head on the edge and on the top of the beer in an artful manner (kind of like Panagea after it split apart...for Geologists only)

Smell - Brett forward. Not too strong but you know it's there all the way.

Taste - Light. Brett is the dominant component but not really in a dominating way. Citrusy on the back end, along with a small amount of sourness and slightly acidic. Taste gets fuller as it warms.

Feel - Light. Almost nothing there. This might be more characteristic of the style so it's not meant to be a diss. Satisfying and drinkable for those who like this style.

Overall - OK. For those who love light Bretty Saisons - this beer is for you. It's really a fine beer, but just not a style I really like, but I'm glad I tried it.

Post script - OK+. In my haste to actually review a beer, I rated it shortly after opening for fear of not reviewing it at all. After drinking for a while and letting it warm up a bit, the flavors and mouth feel seem to come together. Brett still stands out, even more so. Mouth feel is a little more there. Acidy back end is more significant. And there's even some lacing that resembles the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York.
