Can to tulip.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt semi-dark brown color with a small transparency about it. A little white foamy head slid off nicely to leave some concave lace all around.
The aroma captured a nice melding of Belgian sweet spices through some grassy hops and a light squash/vegetal almost pumpkin-like character. Brown sugar, cloves, bubblegum and a little bit of earthy yeast ride in underneath.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet end rolling through some layers of Belgian sweetness and spices. Mellow aftertaste of Belgian sweet malts, squash, clove and bubblegum.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Mild carbonation and a semi-faint finish of Belgian malts, earthy character, squash, cloves and some grassiness.
Overall, interesting saison, I can see it as one done up in an American unique sort of way.

Poured into a small chalice: color is amber, a bit opaque, head is off white to light tan in color with fine bubbles presenting about 1/2 inch thick and linger well; head laces the glass well.
Smell is earthy, some yeast off notes, hints of clove and light spice, light sweetness and maybe some toasty malt.
Taste is slightly sweet with hint of malt and toast, yeasty notes with clove and dry spice.
Mouthfeel moderately carbonated, with light sweet presence then drying.
Overall a slightly belgiany beer with cool take on a farmhouse beer style with farmhouse ingredients, however its a bit on the sweeter side in terms of flavor with not quite a yeasty, spicy punch.
