Triskelion is a pale lager brewed with Czech Pilsner malt and French Triskel & Strisselspalt hops. Straw like in color with a nice white head, Triskelion has beautifully balanced floral, fruity & citrusy aromas coming from the dry hopping. A light body with a dry finish makes for a very drinkable lager.

NO can date
Big frothy 1.5 finger bubbly head with good retention, fair lacing, hazy pale to straw color

Nose super doughy like raw bread dough, sourdough, a little lemongrass, mild citrus and fair floral hop notes, a touch grassy, some golden malt

Taste soft lager up front, more cereal grain and raw bread dough, quite doughy with more of the lemony citrus notes, lemongrass, a bit of straw, cereal grain, mild spicy hop bite late, drier but soft finish

Mouth is med bod, med frothy smaller bubble carb

Overall not bad, decent hop notes, nice malt, good lagering, enjoyable

(16 oz can, no date/code; purchased single off shelf at State Line last week... poured into a Tubinger mug)

L: kellerbier clarity to its yellow-gold liquid; tight, dimpled foam... most of its thin cap maintains, but little-to-no lace

S: heavenly waft of spicy/soapy floral hops, fruity powder candy, lemon tart, danish dough... the floral highlights carry heaviest through the end

T: flavors on the palate closely match the nose... dry, herbal, bitter green(s) aftertaste, fragrant/pungent in the hop artefacts prickling the mouth, but relatively delicate in its edge... crackery and dried (orange, lemon) citrus peel-ish as it goes; dryness and grassy overtone loom large in the aft

F: softly-to-suavely resinous body, oily finish... sedate smoldering warmth in the aft... silky trails, cool smoke lingering up front, tickling the backs of the teeth, while a stunning, simmering comet of bitterness pushes forward with its small, tingly tail chilling the back of the throat

O: that does it... I had a mediocre experience with the first beer I tried from them a few years back, but the last two I've tried have been exponentially better... State Line has like 6-8 varieties of theirs... I'm goin back for more! (2329)
