Nice coconut-y brew. Light gold color with a white head. Very coconut forward with a definite key lime pie twist. Tastes pretty decent and overall smooth drinking like a lager.

Ice cold 12 oz can poured into a pint glass. Immediately beach. A wave of Coppertone hits ya in the nose. Golden color, little bit of thin foam. Tastes like a thin, sweetened, coconut cream. Small malt back. I guess the little bit of hop tartness distinguishable is the ‘key lime’, but there’s no Key Lime to be found.
Feels like a mixer, so she drops 2 ounces of vodka in it, called it a cocktail, and was smiling.
Overall, girly seaside pale ale to spruce up with a spirit.

Sipping a Coconut Key Lime Ale from Islamorada beer Co. In Cocoa Beach. Bought from Key Lime Pie factory by Ron Jon's. Pours a nice color with minimal head. I agree with the other reviews the coconut flavor is a bit overpowering; but I'm having it by the beach and if you're there it's great. The coconut covers the Key lime flavor. Overall a nice beer.

L:. Pours a slightly hazy dull yellow with a small white head and no lacing.
S:. Lots of coconut that mixes with some tangy key lime. The coconuts is very strong in the aroma.
T:. A ton of coconut that comes off tasting slightly like sun tan lotion, a bit of key lime but this is almost all coconut and it needs something to balance it out.
F:. A touch watery, medium body
O:. This beer is coconut over load, it does blot out the key lime a bit.

A nice little surprise from this offering...
Nothing special to look at, the beer has a scent of sweet bread and a mouthfeel that is light and crisp. The taste was very much interesting - the colder the beer the less coconut I noted, but as it warmed I found the coconut and key lime notes popped out very distinctively. Overall, a solid beer - not spectacular but very much enjoyable - especially on this hot, FL spring day...

Very good ale, it's the only brew I've tasted that actually has the coconut taste. The other coconut flavored beer had no coconut taste.

Look: Slightly hazy gold with carbonation bubbles rising. Thin finger of fizzy white head with decent retention.
Smell: Noticeable sweet coconut and lime. Limited malt or hops.
Taste: Sweet coconut and not much else. A little hop bitterness. Lingering coconut aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Average body, high carbonation.
Overall: Decent and fits the title, but might be too sweet for some palettes.
